Developmental Enrichment Program

The Developmental Enrichment Program is a branch of the Medical/Elderly Division that focuses on providing the highest quality of services in a day program to the aging population of developmentally disabled adults. The program’s focus is on recreation and leisure activities, providing a retirement program for our aging consumers. These individuals are extremely active in our community, participating in arts and crafts classes, swimming, and attending musicals and plays at Ruth Eckerd Hall. The individuals we serve are provided every opportunity to enjoy retirement at its' fullest.

Day Programs

The goal of the program is broad, with the intent of meeting the needs of each individual specifically. Through the DEP program we address many desires expressed by our consumers, however, there are older individuals that wish to continue working and earning a paycheck, and we provide the supports necessary for them to maintain employment for as long as possible. The common bond shared by those in the D.E.P. classrooms is to stay actively involved in their community and we at UPARC make it our mission to accomplish that goal.
