The Choices classroom is comprised of six individuals who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. The classroom is designed specifically for the consumers in this classroom, with a sensory room, a strategic floor plan and a variety of sensory and tactile related activities. This classroom takes part in a variety of classroom activities, including 1:1 activities in the community. This allows the individuals to be independent in determining how they spend their day. The Choices classroom also focuses on self-care, socialization and communication skills. Behavioral issues are also addressed in this classroom requiring higher ratios for some of the individuals served.
